Gallatin Saddle and Harness Club

The next upcoming event: March 8th meeting. It will be held at the Library and the program with be about preparing your hours for spring riding. There will be more information coming soon.

The Hop (don’t buck!) to the Spring Critiquing Show is March 28th at 9:00 at the Fairgrounds. The emphasis will be on judge critiquing. The judge will take extra time to discuss good technique and areas that need work with each contestant. Due to the focus on the rider/judge interaction there will be a smaller class list than usual, but we think you will enjoy having more feedback. The class list and entry form will be available on-line soon. If you have question you can call Carrie at 587-9305. More details to

In February at the monthly meeting our club is starting the year with a tour of the local Eagle Mount equestrian center on Goldenstein Lane. Maggie will be presenting videos regarding Eagle Mount and visiting with us about the facilities and activities available in Bozeman. Not only are they working with the physically handicapped but have a new concept for the Veterans they are excited about.

At the January meeting club members planned the year’s activities centered around equine events. This year we have coming up horse shows, clinics to better ourselves and our horses, open riding at the fairgrounds during cold months, social gatherings for both teamsters and riders to participate in, and the ever popular monthly camp outs with trail rides. Dates will be set later for the community volunteer activities. If you have been sitting on the couch with or without your horse and needed a reason to get out and socialize, you now have a whole years worth. Don’t miss out on the fun and the learning to be gained, put the dates on your calendar for the Gallatin Saddle and Harness Club’s activities.
